It's that time of the year again, time for the Lawn Chair Drive-In. For over two decades they have been presenting the best in classic, obscure, foreign, independent and cult films in a fun outdoor environment. Now situated in Liberty Lands Park in Northern Liberties in Philadelphia, it continues that tradition beginning tonight, weekly on Tuesdays for ten weeks. Tonight's feature is Ken Russell's Lair of the White Worm, a clever, sarcastic and scary farce filled with puns and shocks, based on the short story by Bram Stoker. It's got Hugh Grant, Amanda Donahoe and Sammi Davis in lead roles but believe it or not when it was released they were nobodies - the star was Catherine Oxenberg. The film is an erotic (it is Ken Russell after all) delight and one of my favorites. This should be a fun night for all.
